Baseballpalooza Countdown: Baseballpalooza 1-7

So as we countdown to Baseballpalooza 8, I figure you may be curious what constituted paloozas 1-7.

And you may be wondering what the hell is a baseballpalooza?

base·ball·pal·oo·za
–nounative
1.
a road trip which consists of 2 participants (myself and stevo) in which we travel to a different city in the sole purpose of watching baseball
2.
Usually, the New York Mets are the team we follow and cheer for
3.
Food is also one of the key ingredients of a baseballpalooza, whereas both participants partake in eating the indigenous cuisine of the particular city

Baseballpalooza 1 (Boston, 2002)

Well this started out as a mistake, The main objective was to do a Boston to Monteal trip. As the schedule didn't work to our favor, Boston was the only city on the schedule. A road trip ensued to visit the confines of Fenway Park as Pedro Martinez took on the Devil Rays. Suffice it say the Red Sox won and a new annual road trip was born.

Baseballpalooza 2 (Balt-Pit-Cle-Det-Chic-Milw 2003)

The big one. 6 cities in 1 week or so. It was insane. I'll go in depth on this one when I have time. It was the ultimate palooza, the one where all rules were broken.

Baseballpalooza 3 (Philadelphia 2004)

A road trip out to the city of Brotherly Love. It rained. Philly fans were rude.Stadium was nice.

Baseballpalooza 4 (Washington 2005)

The nation's capital. RFK stadium is garbage. Nat fans are confused. Mets kick ass.

Baseballpalooza 5 (Toronto 2006)

The first international baseballpalooza. Toronto is an awesome city.

Baseballpalooza 6 (Atlanta 2007)

The first of 2 paloozas in the same year. We visit the dreaded Turner Field as the Mets took on the Braves. It was freakin cold in April.

Baseballpalooza 7 (Cincinnati 2007)

Mets vs Reds @ the Great American Ballpark. Cincinnati is a nice little city.
